Our administrative assistant, Lyn Van, meticulously handles all day-to-day activities of our listings and keeps a watchful eye on the closing process for each and every one of our clients.
Lyn has more than 15 years of experience as a real estate assistant. She began working as an assistant for a top Hinsdale agent in 2002 and received her real estate license in 2007. While performing the duties of a real estate assistant, Lyn also worked as a buyer’s agent in the Chicagoland area before moving to Michigan in 2013. After her move, Lyn began working as Mike’s assistant remotely.
With her past experience as an agent, Lyn knows this job inside and out!
- Daily task management associated with Mike’s listings—which includes creating listing docs, marketing brochures, MLS uploads, photo shoot coordination with client and photographer, photo management, market updates, collection of miscellaneous docs, and getting the listings on the market on time.
- Manage daily tasks associated with every sales transaction from contract acceptance date to closing date. This includes processing completed contracts for distribution to client, attorney, lender, and Compass; communicating with attorneys and lenders to make sure important dates are met, such as home inspection, attorney review and financing; preparing appraisal reports; and closing packet/commission statement management.
- Miscellaneous tasks—including MLS management of listings and closings, preparing price change documents, website management, preparing newspaper ads and flyers, and stepping in whenever any member of the team needs assistance.
