Clarendon Hills

A quaint, small and charming village located 18 miles from the booming metropolis of Chicago, Clarendon Hills covers not quite 2 sq miles. An advantage of living in Clarendon Hills is that it is located right on the Burlington Northern tracks and is an easy commute into Chicago for work or play.

Being a sleepy little Village, the residents enjoy whiling away summer evenings at Dancin’ in the Streets, a local venue that exhibits local musical talent, picnics and family fun! The yearly Daisy Days signals the beginning of summer. Be prepared for The Daisy Dash, a 5K run, musical extravaganza or picnics in many of the Village’s parks.

The extensive activity list carries over to the very active Park District which produces a variety of entertainment for family and friends to participate in. Events such as the ever-popular Fishing Derby, Fall Family Fun Fest to a newer project of Movies in the Park. There is something for everyone throughout the year.

The Holidays are no exception. This festive time of year brings the beginning of the Christmas with the Christmas Holiday Walk, sponsored by the very active Clarendon Hills Chamber of Commerce. A fun evening normally held the weekend after Thanksgiving that allows shop-keepers and business owners to show off their “wares” by hosting open houses for the residents; Sample tasty treats from some of the restaurants, cafes such as Talley’s Kitchen + Bar, Starbucks and All Wined Up. A super time is had by all – a terrific way to begin a festive season!
