Cruisin’ 66 Festival and Car Show will be held this year at Harvester Park in Burr Ridge. This fun-filled day runs from 11:00Am until 3:00PM

Dancing in the Streets!
 
Come one, come all! Join the fun at the weekly Dancin’ In the Streets concert series. This musical treat is perfect for the whole family. This year this popular event begins on Wednesday, June 20. The musical lineup will be established very soon.
 
Check out the annual Fishing Derby! Saturday July 21st
 
Grab your pole and head to Prospect Park Pond from 8-10AM.  Prospect Pond will be stocked the week of the derby with farm-raised catfish and bass.  Trophies will be awarded for longest fish caught in each age group. Have fun!
 
Be sure to get your exercise in during the fun Daisy Days weekend events (Clarendon Hills Chamber of Commerce). This year Daisy Days will run Father’s Day weekend culminating in the Daisy Dash Father’s Day 5K Sunday June 17th, 2012 and Kids Fun Run being held this year on Sunday, June 17th.

4th of July Fireworks at the Summer Family Festival, Wednesday, July 4th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in Prospect Park.  Prior to the proposed fireworks show at the Hinsdale Golf Club, come for musical entertainment (DJ), food, family activities and traditional family fun.
 
Don’t forget the End of the Summer Fun!– Movie in the Park (Prospect Park) Friday, August 10 Showtime is 8:30pm  DISNEY’S “TANGLED” The kids will love it!

Never a dull moment in this vital village. Special events run throughout the year. However, during the summer months Downers Grove has an Earth Day celebration, 4th Annual Splash Into Summer!, the wonderfully restored Tivoli Theater comes alive with “Sing-A-Long Sound of Music”, Family Field Day at St. James Farm, the Downers Grove annual Memorial Day ParadeJust for Kids fishing derby and the rotary International District 6450 Family Fun Day. This fun-packed summer fun goes on and on.

June 9 & 10 is normally bright and sunny and is perfect for the 39th annual Fine Arts fair held in Burlington Park from10:00AM until 5:00PM each day. There are over 150 artists participating in this juried art fair.
 
Good old American fun! Hinsdale’s Fourth Of July Parade. Bring a comfy chair, a blanket to sit on or just enjoy all the festivities as the parade marches by. It’s a great way to start the day! Right after this truly American event ends wander over to the annual arts & crafts fair held right in the center of the Village.
 
Hinsdale Chamber presents Uniquely Thursdays as it begins it’s 10th anniversary season beginning Thursday June 14. Running every Thursday thru August 16, from 6:00 – 9:00PM in the heart of this charming village.

Village of Westmont
 
Enticing fun waits in the Village of Westmont. From the annual Cruisin’ Nights to the Summer Concert Series beginning on Wednesday, June 20. The concert series runs every Wednesday evening thru July 25. Also enjoy balmy evenings under the stars for Movies in the Park. Movies will be shown on Friday, August 3, Friday, August 10 and Saturday, August 11. All events will begin at 7PM; Westmont encourages those who attend to bring picnic baskets or refreshments to the ever-popular Ty Warner Park.
 
May 25 thru May 27 brings the 2012 Red, White and BBQ Festival. The fun includes free music, a carnival, a chili tasting contest, beer ten and reputedly, some excellent BBQ.
 
Speaking of food, always delicious and extremely well attended is the Taste of Westmont. The dates this year for the festivities is from July 6 thru July 8.
